Community News Autumn 2021

Message from Chulmleigh College

Dear Parents/Carers

Due to Devon being in a Covid Enhanced Response Area until 4th October, we have taken the difficult decision to change the way we conduct our open events by cancelling the College Open Evening on Tuesday 21st September and offering a wide range of smaller and more personal events to everyone instead.

We are very keen to meet prospective parents/carers and pupils and are delighted to be able to offer a ‘package’ of Covid-safe personal events to help inform your choice of secondary school for September 2022.

Small group tours – wide range of dates available

We are offering small group tours with our Executive Headteacher Michael Johnson, Deputy Executive Headteacher Neil Payne and SENDCO Laura Mackie. After school for those who may not be able to visit in working hours and morning tours for those who wish to visit during a normal school day.  Being able to see the school ‘in action’ provides an excellent window into what we offer here at Chulmleigh College, and with the tours being led by our Senior Leadership Team in a small group environment, you will have ample opportunities to ask any questions you may have.

We are offering a wide range of dates for these tours, please click on the links below to book.

Year 6 Taster Morning Saturday 16th October 9am-12pm

We are delighted to be able to offer prospective pupils the chance to attend a Taster Morning at the College, where they will experience a range of lessons and activities.

We look forward to meeting you and your child, and very much hope you can join us.

Open day & evening update – Queen Elizabeth’s School

As Devon is in an Enhanced Response Area for Covid-19 and considering current rates of infection, we have reluctantly decided to cancel the Open Evening Event on 28th of September.

We want to provide parents and carers with as much information as possible to help you when choosing a secondary school for your child.

We plan to have an Open Week between Monday 27th September and Friday 1st October.

Tours of our Barnfield Campus (Lower School site) can be made by appointment between 9:30 & 3pm. This will allow us to provide enhanced Covid control measures.

If you would like to register an expression of interest on a preferred day of that week please complete this form and one of our team will get in touch to arrange a specific appointment time.
