The children have been wonderful debaters this week. Remembering their trip to Parliament, they structured a class debate, being proposers and opposers. With team captains and interveners they conducted very strong arguments for and against the motion. (Sports teams should be made up of a mix of men and women.) Impressively, the children stood when they wanted to object to a point and structured questions to make their point, rather than getting into arguments. In maths, the children have learned about shape, angles and how to use protractors and solve shape conundrums. Well done Year 5.
