Story Chair

Despite the wet weather on Tuesday 30th September the school gathered in the playground for the unveiling of the school’s story chair. The chair has been made by a local craftsman out of one piece of locally sourced wood.

Mr and Mrs Brook were invited to perform the unveiling ceremony as the chair is in memory of their son Lewis who tragically died 2 years ago. Mrs Brook said a few words about how Lewis enjoyed school and loved the outdoor life. She also read a poem, from one of his poem books, called The Comfy Chair.

The chair has been placed in the willow copse on the playing field for the children to enjoy reading and listening to stories.
